Covab Students participate in The CAES Annual Agricultural Exhibition and career Expo
Students from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Bio-Security participated in the Annual Agricultural Exhibition and Career Expo from 21st March 2017 to 23rd March 2017. The exhibition was organized by the Student Council of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) at Makerere University Freedom Square.
Several sponsors of the event and exhibitors with innovations from different Colleges were invited, including CoVAB. The team from CoVAB exhibited the Leather and Dairy Value Chain products, the feed industry and the Central Diagnostic Laboratory.
Some of the main objectives of the exhibition were to promote market for agricultural products, agricultural information sharing, and to express innovative ideas on agriculture to farmers.
The CoVABSA president, Brian Biyinzika highlighted that CoVAB’s participation in CAES’ Annual Agricultural Exhibition was a result of the partnership between CoVAB and CAES that started as a partnership between student leaders’ of the two colleges which both specialize in advancing agriculture.
